National Laboratory of Lanzhou heavy ion accelerator holds beam review meeting in 2020

On July 11, the 2020 beam review meeting of HIRFL national laboratory was held in Lanzhou. The meeting was conducted in the way of "Online + offline".
The evaluation is divided into two stages: letter evaluation and meeting evaluation. The purpose, significance and feasibility of the project are given preliminary review opinions by more than 2 experts; According to the discipline fields, the meeting was divided into four review groups: nuclear physics and atomic physics group, life science group, space science group and materials science group. The final review results were given in combination with the comments and HIRFL beam feeding time. The expert group is composed of 44 experts from 24 units including Peking University, Fudan University, China Academy of atomic energy and Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Among them, the experts in the field of space science and in Lanzhou were concentrated in the Institute of modern physics, and the experts from other countries attended the meeting through Tencent conference.
After expert review, 310 beam applications were finally approved, and the approved beam time was 4628 hours. The experts also discussed the new operation mode of HIRFL, user training and beam distribution mode, and put forward suggestions.
