1. HIRFL beam time application

(1) Registration

The user should first register with the Sharing service platform of major science and technology infrastructure of Chinese academy of sciences (http://lssf.cas.cn/) before applying for the project.

(2) The subject application

The user should log in http://lssf.cas.cn/ and apply for the project as required within the fixed time. The type selection of the subject should be the key subject.

The single particle effect experiment is not an online application, please send the platform registered account and the application form of the national laboratory of Lanzhou heavy ion accelerator (official seal) to hirfl@impcas.ac.cn.

(3) The experimental application

After the subject is finally reviewed, the user will be informed by email via the platform. The user should fill in the lab application form on the platform as soon as possible after the user has received the notification. Otherwise, the experiment will not be arranged.

2. The review process of the key subjct

(1) The user’s office would examine the format of the application and return the questionable applications to the users for modification. The major aspects of examines are:

Ⅰ. Does the user fill in the ionic species, energy and intensity?

Ⅱ. Does the user fill in the calculation basis of the application time?

Ⅲ. Is there any problem with the text and picture format in the application form?

(2) After the user’s office staff examine, the application will be submitted to the terminal administrator for review, and the questionable application will be returned to the applicant to amend. The major aspects of review are:

Ⅰ. Is the experimental scheme reasonable?

Ⅱ. Can the requested terminal provide the proposed experimental conditions?

(3) After the review of the terminal administrator, the application will go into the online experts reviewing and scoring processes. The scoring is based on

    Ⅰ. Background and significance

    Ⅱ. Feasibility of the experiment

Ⅲ. The necessity and rationality of the experiment

Ⅳ. Expected results and composition of members

(4) After all the above reviews, site review will be processed. On-site evaluation experts should consider the background meaning of the project, experimental feasibility, etc., and users' previous experiments and project information feedback, research results (thesis, patents, awards, social impact, etc.), beam time allocation is based on that HIRFL can provide, a certain proportion and order.

3. Responsibility and power

(1) Users have the right to participate in the user meetings and various academic conferences organized by HIRFL; Obtain the various publications of HIRFL (annual report, briefing, express, result compilation, etc.); criticize, challenge and rationalize the work of HIRFL.

(2) After finishing the project, the users have the obligation to provide: 1) the summary report of the subject; 2) published articles and other research results of the project.

(3) Users must adhere to the rules and regulations of HIRFL and assume responsibility for the adverse consequences caused by violations of the rules and regulations.

4. Training of new users (All those who have not participated in the HIRFL experiment )

    a) Users shall strictly implement the management provisions of the pledge after agreeing to "user commitment" in the project application process.

    b) The users must study protecting technical and radiation protection documents of HIRFL and other safety knowledge training document carefully, download and fill in the certificate.
